What problem this exists to solve
Getting a repair done in the Algarve is rarely about the repair. It is about finding someone who answers, who understands what you are describing, who turns up, and who tells you the price before rather than after. That is difficult enough for a Portuguese household and harder again if you are describing a problem in a second language, or if you are eighteen hundred kilometres away and the house is empty.
So the whole service is built around the first ten minutes: a short description, a photograph, and a straight answer about what it costs and when it can be done. Everything on this site, down to the questions the quote form asks, exists to make that first exchange precise enough to be useful.
How it works
Three steps, described in full on how it works. You send the job through the form with a description and, ideally, a photo. You get a free quote with an honest price or price range and a realistic time window. A local professional suited to that work carries it out, and anything that changes along the way is discussed with you before it happens, not after.
What we will not do
- Invent prices. Where an honest range exists, it is given with the year it refers to. Where it does not, the page explains what determines the price instead of printing a number that sounds good.
- Pretend photographs are jobs. The images here are illustrative pictures of typical Algarve situations. None of them is presented as a job that was carried out.
- Take work we should not take. Gas, mains electrical work beyond a like for like swap, work at height and structural changes need the right trade with the right qualification. If a request is one of those, you are told quickly.
- Pressure anyone. No countdown offers, no scarcity, no calls chasing a quote you did not accept.
Where the service operates
Jobs are quoted across the Algarve, in Lagos, Albufeira, Vilamoura, Portimão, Almancil, Quinta do Lago, Carvoeiro, Tavira, Loulé, Faro and the areas around them. Some services reach further than others, and travel is part of what a quote reflects. If your area or your job is outside what can be taken on, you are told promptly instead of being left waiting for a quote that will not come.
Languages
English and Portuguese, both properly. The English and Portuguese versions of this site are written separately rather than translated, because the questions people ask in each language are genuinely different. You can describe your job in either, and the reply comes back in the same one.
